When I look at the structural predictions that are matching a fingerprint protein added with the mm_addfing command, why does the helix/beta/turn window contain nonsense?
The command mm_addfing does not classify secondary structure for the new protein. The only place this matters is in the structural prediction window, where the secondary structural predictions will be meaningless.
How can I get MatchMaker printing to work with "lp"?
When printing, MatchMaker creates a temporary matchmaker.print file. It executes the print command, then deletes the temporary file.
This works fine with lpr, which copies the file into the print queue, but not with lp. With lp, sometimes the command to print is given and the file is deleted before anything is sent to the printer. The following error message then gets printed on the sheet of paper:
Printer lwg could not print file '/usr/spool/lp/request/lwd/do-555'
File convert could not convert this file of type 'DanglingLink' to a printable format.
The solution is to add the -c option to the print command so that the command is now:
